The Saint Recognized for Downtown Entertainment
Published on February 6, 2025 in the Saint Helena Star, the article spotlights The Saint, a downtown St. Helena wine lounge defying Napa’s early bedtime by staying open until 11 p.m. on weekends. Proprietor Heidi Bamburg showcases small wineries—including her husband’s Night Wines—and founded the Saints and Sinners Social Club to feature these boutique producers. With live music, private parties, and creative fundraisers like drag shows and post-film bashes, The Saint adds a vibrant edge to traditional tasting rooms. Click Here for details.
Securing a full liquor license has been complicated by state requirements for a full kitchen, which conflict with The Saint’s city permit as a tasting room. In the meantime, Bamburg crafts inventive low- and non-alcoholic options like a low-alcohol espresso martini and a hemp-based “amaro,” catering to guests who might be “wined out.” Nonetheless, oenophiles still flock to The Saint for unique pours and a memorable Napa Valley experience.
